Heather Rothstein

Heather is a married mother of 2, she studies Health and Physical Education at George Mason University. Heather has been involved with cheerleading since she was 6 years old. She was a member of a Level 6 Co-Ed team with Cheer Thunder All-Stars. Heather was also a gymnast during her time in High School. Heather has coached recreational and high school cheer for SYC, West Potomac HS and Lake Braddock SS. Heather loves to help kids grow in the sport, and build strength for a lifetime! Heather is credentialed in building for USASF Levels 1 through 4, tumbling 1 through 5 and AACCA certified. 

Madison Strano

Madison Strano was born and raised in Springfield, Virginia. She is currently studying accounting at George Mason University. Madison has been cheering since age 5, she was captain of her Varsity team and selected as a 2-time UCA All-American cheerleader in the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade. She was also chosen to cheer at the NFL Pro Bowl in Hawaii. Madison started coaching at the age of 15 and joined the Capital Cheer staff in 2013 as a volunteer. In 2016, Madison led her team to a National Championship win in Hershey, PA. Madison hopes to utilize the valuable skill set she has obtained from her many years of dedication to create a positive environment for all athletes. Madison spends her spare time cheering on the Dallas Cowboys during the football season with her family and friends. Madison is credentialed levels 1-4 USASF and AACCA certified.

Sarah Smith
Sarah Smith is originally from Michigan, but has lived all around the country with her military family. Outside of cheer, Sarah is a senior analyst in the aviation industry and is an ISTAT Certified Appraiser. Sarah has been coaching competitive cheerleading since 1999 and loves that the sport is inclusive of athletes with diverse abilities. In addition to coaching, Sarah is a USASF Certified Safety Judge and travels around the country and internationally judging cheer and dance. Sarah is credentialed in both Building and Tumbling for USASF Levels 1 through 4.

Richard Nary

Richard Nary was born and raised in Northern Virginia. He started cheer as a senior in high school and fell in love with the sport's competitive side as well as the important lessons in teamwork it teaches. Richard cheered for five years at George Mason University where his team consistently placed in the top 5 in the D-1 Small Coed division. He has worked at Capital Gymnastics NTC since 2011 as well as a UCA certified camp instructor for two years, teaching high school camps up and down the east coast. Whenever he isn't in the gym, he is at home spending time with his family and pets. Richard is credentialed in both Building and Tumbling for USASF Levels 1 through 4.

​Corey Christoffersen
Corey Christoffersen comes to us from Fremont, Michigan. He is a graduate of Baker College with a BS in Health Services Administration and Certified Massage Therapist. Corey has been coaching gymnastics, dance and cheer for over 12 years. Coaching is one of Corey's strongest passions because he is able to witness the growth and improvements of each of his many students. He especially loves coaching team sports and seeing his students form strong relationships and lifelong bonds with one another. Corey spends his spare time showing and judging pygmy goats across the nation and his students love to hear all about his beloved pets. Corey is credentialed in Building and Tumbling for USASF Levels 1 through 4.
